Trips
Western Australia
4/18/2023
: We finally arrived in the Exmouth peninsula later in the day. The campsite had quite a few RVs, but was not very interesting. We checked in, and then walked around on the nearby beach. At sunset, we drove over to a nearby marshy area where a salty had been seen earlier.
4/19/2023
: Our first full day in the Exmouth area was a trip to go swimming with Whale Sharks. We woke up very early to check out the sewage treatment plant in Exmouth where we were lightly accused of illegally camping next to the plant (since we were there at 6 AM).
Then, we were picked up for our boat trip.
There was this guy, let's call him Mr. Dipshitopolis, who kept swimming in front of my face wildly kicking bubbles everywhere. Everyone else was cool, though.
4/20/2023
: On the morning of the eclipse, we were on the road before sunset hoping to find a parking spot at Yardie Creek. Turns out, we barely made it into the park as everyone had the same idea. For the eclipse, we walked up to the top of the gorge. There was no drama as the sky was 100% clear the whole time.
4/21/2023
: One last visit to the Exmouth Sewage Treatment Plant before heading back to the south.
