Trips

Indonesia

8/10/2024: The photos of the hotel looked nice, but the area around Munduk was a huge disappointment. The main problem is that the local people have put virtually every bird into a cage. The hotel even had a cage, but, presumably, their bird had died as the cage was empty. I sat on the balcony of the hotel early in the morning, and there were not any birds singing at all, despite blooming trees all around. Not recommended.

8/11/2024: We walked around to look at a few local waterfalls. I was shocked to see a forktail in the canals.

8/12/2024: Finishing up in the morning as we waited for the driver to take us to Bali's west coast.
