Visits

  • 2025-01-23: Another area where the USA is severely lacking is in the department of high-speed trains. Everyone just has to have their private giant car to go door to door for whatever they want to do. There is very little imagination of how easy it can be with the trains because of this. We rode in the train to Zaragoza, and we were travelling up to 200 miles per hour, arriving in Zaragoza in less than two hours. This trip would take at least four hours in a car. Families were meeting on the train, and there was plenty of room for children to walk around, draw, whatever. Arriving in Zaragoza, we picked up an inexpensive rental car to visit the rural mountains which are not so easily connected to a rail network. Americans would spend twice as much money and time to do the same kind of trip, and then they would whine that they don't have enough time or money. They would elect a fascist into the government on false promises of reduced prices. As I checked on the news, the military has been deployed to the Mexican border in order to stop refugees as Shitler makes his plans to arrest everyone who dares defy him. In Zaragoza, we picked up the rental car without any issue, and we continued to an area of steppes just outside town in order to search for the Dupont's Lark. I wasn't really expecting to find it as we were arriving in the afternoon, and sure enough, it was not found. The birds that we did find were terrified, and it was very difficult to get a good look at anything in the grass. As soon as you pointed binoculars or a camera at a bird, it was long gone. This was quite annoying, and we gave up after a short time to continue to Huesca.
