Mgahinga is a park known for expensive Mountain Gorilla tracking in the far southwest of Uganda. It is also possible to get to some higher elevations here (which I skipped due to time constraints)

: We got an early start from Kisoro to do a trek into the mountains in search of the Golden Monkeys. This is one of the few places left where the monkeys can be found. The hike was up a steep volcano, and I was pretty worn out by the end of five hours. Somehow, it was uphill both ways.
