11/14/2017: This day mostly consisted of driving with a few stops on the way to Andisibe. Fairly slow going with an overpriced lunch on the way.



11/15/2017: We started out the day with a long drive on a bad road to get to the main primary forest in the area. Crazy thing happened while we we watching the sifakas. There was a baby sifaka that was exploring some tenuous branches just above us. It might have even been showing off for the camera. Suddenly, the baby lost its grip and started tumbling through the branches en route to a belly flop just a few feet away. If I had a little more time to react, I could have caught it! I thought for sure it was the end of that baby, but mom came hopping down to the ground. The baby latched on and they went leaping together into the forest.



11/16/2017: Today's hike involved crashing around some more in the forest. This time, I think the main thing we were looking for were the Indri. You could hear them whooping it up around the forest. We finally found them screaming and jumping from one tree trunk to the next one miles away.



11/17/2017: Still some more crashing around in the forest looking for some random birds. This was followed by another night walk which was lacking in chameleons but full of giant hairy and also not so hairy spiders (but still giant)



11/18/2017: For the last adventure in the Andasibe area, we trudged around through a swamp to find the Gray Emu-tail. We got brief looks at the bird as well as a lot of mud on our shoes.
