Wildlife refuge is on the outskirts of New York City, and you can reach it by subway and a long walk. It is fairly close to JFK airport, only a couple of stops between the reserve and the airport tram.

Visits

2008-07-13: I visited here with a full bag on my way to the airport. It was very hot and humid, I was running late, and the walk to the park was long... would have been better in a taxi or car, I think.
