Visits
- 2021-11-25: Arrived in the afternoon and wandered around town for a bit. We are scheduled to be leaving the next day for Antarctica.
- 2021-11-26: We hired a driver to show us the sites of Ushuaia before we were to get on a boat for a couple of weeks. I wanted to visit the dump to get photos of caracaras and gulls, and it turns out, his friend owns the dump. Later on, we visited some area next to the coast as well as the ski area. We got dropped off on the main drag before boarding our boat to Antarctica. In the meantime we rushed to scarf down a pizza and bought some last minute supplies. We were required to test for the coronavirus before boarding the ship. After being told that we would be leaving at 7PM, there was an announcement that our departure was delayed. The trip on the ship next to us had already been canceled by coronavirus, and now people were starting to get ideas.
- 2021-12-10: Spent the afternoon walking around the town
- 2021-12-11: A final trip up to the ski area to look for seedsnipe and bridled finch.
