Fox Sparrow (

Harris's Sparrow (
Zonotrichia querula

Hooded Merganser (
Lophodytes cucullatus
) - Female
A marshy area in Chicago suburbs with patches of deciduous forest and restored prairie. Several Wildlife Blinds are available. Our class went to this center in 1st grade to learn about nature. This was also the release location for my pet turtles after I got tired of them. (If you must release your pets in the future, I would recommend a public park over a nature area. You could be introducing a non-native species which can have disastrous results)
