Trips
Mexico to Panama
2/24/2009
: After securing our permits in Puerto Jimenez, we took a bus and truck to the trailhead crossing the national park. We hiked in the river bed for a couple of hours until we reached the Los Patos field station. The person working at the park office told us that we would find a restaurant near Los Patos, but we did not find such a place. We were the only foreigners at the field station though we did see several gold miners. Dinner and breakfast consisted of crackers.
