Visits

  • 2000-08-06: This is an estimate of the date. In a four person party, I drove up to a trail access point. The drive took a couple of hours, slow going with a 1979 Toyota station wagon. We camped on top, and the next morning hiked into the canyon via trail, and then hike in the canyon by scrambling over giant boulders, spending the night quasi-lost in the riverbed. Trout and frogs were common in small pools along the route. The next morning, we found a trail back up the hill with a treacherous, but not too difficult route back to the campground. If you are afraid of heights, you would not have liked the trails that we were on, which were unmarked.
  • 2013-07-02: Hiked to Asa Flats
